In
the ideally intimate setting of the
medieval Colour
House at Merton Abbey Mills, Sunday Evening Music Among
Friends, now in its fourteenth year,
is a monthly series of informal chamber concerts in which both seasoned professionals and gifted young players perform the music they love for your and their own enjoyment. Each
concert begins at 7.30 and lasts
about 90 minutes including the
interval,
during which you can enjoy a free drink next door in the historic Wheelhouse. Forthcoming programmes are published in four seasonal brochures, each of three concerts: January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December. Advantageous
season tickets for three
concerts are available.
We
are grateful to our many distinguished performers (who always seem keen
to come back for more!), to Hanna Pianos for keeping our Goetze baby grand so expertly, to resident artist Tony Kane who through the years has painted LIVE the delightful illustrations in this website, to Katie Hawks for designing it, to theatre manager Peter Wallder for his unfailing help, and above all to our wonderfully loyal audience, many of whom have been regulars from the very start. |
